Magic and Medicine

Magic and Medicine! How can I talk about such a topic? Which side will really address? Juju is a nightmare to me and the word itself scares me...but does it mean that it does not exist?
Magicians do things in an extraordinary manner...you cannot tell how what they do impacts on anything BUT does it any way?
Medicine, is another form of magic. The only difference is that it's impact can be felt. It's weakness is that there's a need for a physical presence of the patient and the Doc or any other person administering the medicine.
However, magic goes beyond this...I was in Buwekula sometime back, when a neighbor's son fell off a motor bike. I rushed to my car and picked my first aid kit. As I tried to do my best, the mother to the kid was angry with me protesting that I was merely wasting time.
She used a stick to measure the affected area of the boy's arm and gave to the elder brother to rush and take it to the 'medicine' man a few miles from where we were.
I was told that with that medicine man, there's no need of a patient being their as long as they know the affected area of the patient and also adhere to his 'demands.'
I was scared and everyone could see it in my eyes. I added no word. With CHOGM here, and being off work, I intend to travel to Buwekula to see this young man because the fracture was serious...I will also try to gather more info about the 'medicine' man and whether his magic works.
And if it does, is this another kind of 'wireless' medicine? Can it be developed to another level to also cure other diseases like Malaria, not to mention the obvious? How does it work?
I have a checklist and a Public Health Practitioner, I will try to expound on this and maybe, I can see how to partner with this person towards availing people with knowledge and insights in the 'magic' industry.
Cheers

Welcome back, Jovi. I missed you. Just been to your other blog and was blown away. You are so wise!

Is there a way I can get your email address so I can invite you to my blog. Although, I have nothing much there. I have failed to write.
